My name is Tina Rafdal and I, like many others, got in on the refinance boom a couple of years ago with a low fixed rate for 2 years. By the time that 2 years was up I, like many others, was unemployed and couldn’t find a job. My rate went adjustable and my payment went from $2600 a month to $3500 a month. I was about to lose my house. I decided a short sale would look a lot better on my credit report than a foreclosure and decided that I had better find someone to help me with it.
My brother is a realtor as are many of my good friends. Unfortunately, none of them live in Simi Valley where my house was located. I opted to go with Larry and Stephanie on the recommendation of a close friend as they had helped them in real estate sales and purchases in the past and spoke very highly of them. I felt it was in my best interest to have someone “local”.
They listed my house in the beginning of November of 2009. My bank accepted an offer from a buyer before the month was out. Unfortunately, the buyers ended up backing out, but Larry & Stephanie worked diligently to find me a new buyer and to my amazement, a new owner was moving in to my house at the beginning of February. Literally the whole thing happened so fast, it was amazing! I had heard that short sales typically took a LOT of time. From the time that the buyers submitted an offer until the day they moved in was about 4 weeks!
Larry and Stephanie were on top of EVERYTHING! They kept an open line of steady communication with me & explained everything very clearly to me. They made a very difficult time in my life so much easier.

My husband and I started searching for a home mid 2009. We weren't really sure if we were ready to buy just yet, however, the market seemed to constantly decline that we couldn't pass-up this opportunity. Being a first time home buyer you have so many questions you don't know where to start. So my sister had recommended a friend, Stephanie Watson.
